Does America know?

I was just wondering if there is much coverage in the USA of the U.K. vote to leave or stay in Europe.
Our news is full of American politics (mainly trump) and we've just had US politicians telling us why they think we should stay.
So is there any coverage and if so how is it being presented?

I have seen minimal coverage of this which is ridiculous because it is pretty big news in my opinion.

It is.
I'm supposed you've not heard our prime minister telling us this week that if we vote to leave it will start world war 3. Like he actually said that was a risk if we leave the EU.

I haven't seen anything about it on our news which surprises me since Canada is still very closely related with Britain. This is very big news and should be broadcast here too!

cj, most of what I know about the situation has been through a friend's FB posts-- he's an Englishman living now in Ecuador. He is furious over what is happening, and especially Obama's visit. Suffice it to say, he would rather see the UK leave the mess that is now the EU (and so....I guess my opinions are biased, lol.)

I do wish there was more mainstream news about it here in the US, though...What are your thoughts?

I've only seen it mentioned on the comedy admittedly "fake" news shows... not the "real" news... the "real" news is too busy telling us ad nauseam that kids think laundry pods look like candy.

When I want to hear about the rest of the world, I turn on BBC America or Al Jazeera...

Oh I'm an out voter. And every time the government (who have used 9million of tax funds on their campaign) tell us why we should stay it's lies and fear mongering.
You'll have no money.
You'll be alone
No one will help you
No one will trade with you
Nasty things will happen to you
Honestly those are the things an abusive partner says, not the words of someone with your best interests at heart.

And the fact that they have to get foreign leaders to fight their corner is because not enough British politicians or business leaders agree.

Here in Portugal of course it is news.
In fact, my firm is organizing a seminar on the Brexit.

cj, I live in the southwestern US and have only local network broadcasts (no cable news, etc) and I've heard nothing about it. We are so inundated with the political bs (Clinton & Trump) and our media has their nose so far up those two butts that nothing else penetrates.

Well a lot of people are going to know about it now. Markets are going to take a huge hit on opening bell. Don't look at your 401k's if you are suicidal or prone to angry outbursts. It is going to be a wild ride for a while.

I'm glad for the out vote.
Things are already coming out that were hidden from the public about the plans the EU has for the future of Europe.

So glad the UK will have a chance to save its self.

I hope it works out for ya'll. I don't have a horse in the game. All I know is the markets are taking a big hit and the only thing that is being said here in the states is doom and gloom for the UK.

U.K. will be ok. Europe will be ok. Treaties will be signed, concessions will be made by both sides, the big powers will continue to suck the life out of the smaller countries and so on... There was a life before EU and there will be one after.

With what I understand we voted the right way,a lots come out today that should have been said before the vote,i think it would've been a lot more of a majority opting out..is it the right decision we will have to ride it out and see. Donald trumps is over here isn't he I'm sure between all the EU he popped up on the TV..
