Medium Eggs are about 1 3/4 oz each raw frying them doesn't really change the volume some liquid loss probably. Hope this helps. Here is a list of weights of a dozen based on size of egg:

Jumbo -- 30 ounces (oz)
Extra large -- 27 oz
Large -- 24 oz
Medium -- 21 oz
Small -- 18 oz
Peewee -- 15 oz

Way frigging cool!

Thank you so much.

We feed raw but Cane likes his eggs sunny side up. So I was just wondering how much a pound we are paying to indulge his spoiled big butt. lol

I believe it is a disease! It would be nice if he would like them scrambled. But NO......Sunny side up and don't break the yolk that is his favorite thing to do. lol

Kryten just wants the shell. He will eat the egg too but only once the shell is completely gone.

Sweet Maya!

New Member
Hi all! :). I have the sweetest neo mastiff named Maya. She is six and a half yrs old and I love her so very much. For the last few
Months, I have noticed that my girl is doing some weird things, like snapping upward into the air, at night, as if she is trying to see and bite at invisible gnats?? She even appears to be really LOoKING at them! All the while, there is nothing there. She will sit on her bed at night, or on the floor and do this periodically. Also, she seems to be fumbling around a bit more than usual.. Clumbsilly?? Has anyone out there seen this behavior before!? Thanks so much. Tonya

I know Angus loves raw eggs, but the other day I made myself a hard boiled egg, but never ended up eating it. So, I decided to give it to Angus and oh my god, that boy is a comedy show with a slippery hard boiled egg. He kept sucking it up into his mouth, but because it was wet and slippery and it kept popping out if his mouth and sliding across the kitchen floor. He'd slowly make his way over to it and suck it back up. Eventually he did manage to eat it, but it was actually quite humorous to watch him struggle.

Next time, I'll try a fried egg and see if he has an easier time with it.

Wow AB!!! You take breakfast orders from your dogs??? You are a good doggie mom!

Zeek will eat 'em anyway he can get 'em. Lila only cares that they are cooked.

The funny thing is I used to laugh at my aunts who would make breakfast for their little piss ant dogs(half a fried egg). Now I'm frying 6 to 8 eggs careful not to break the yolk. My son gets so pissed says, " You never cooked breakfast for me". LOL

I feel ya! I used to laugh at my friend who took her dog to daycare and now every Monday and Wednesday I am trucking my dogs off to daycare. Always careful to be there by 7 am so they can go on the nature hike.

A few years ago I laughed at my friend's Honda Element - which he got for his Danes and now not only do I drive one - I am in LOVE with it!

Can you say "KARMA?"

Ruger LOVES his fried eggs (Basted in bacon grease, of course) He will walk away from it if the yellow is broken, too. LOL Damn finicky brats! He LOVES boiled eggs, too as long as I chop it up in small pieces for him and he will eat scrambled eggs but only with ketchup on them.

Thanks, Deb! These boys of mine are a damn mess (Especially Ruger) but I love them so much. Ruger has this whole dinner time set of rules that would make me look like an idiot if I shared them. From a few moments before his majesty is served dinner until he is completely done eating, there are rules to be followed and if they aren't he will not eat. I know, I know...A missed meal isn't going to hurt him and he will eat if he gets hungry...But I don't care! LOL It drives me insane if he won't eat and I worry about it all day and so I go through some ridiculous "musts" to make it happen. I am the crazy dog lady for sure.

Kryten is appalled that so many dogs want their eggs ruined by cooking them. I dropped a boiled egg a few days ago and he was so excited that he got to have one. He did eat it but you could tell that it was not what he wanted and he stopped begging for the eggs I was working with. I also had to coax him into taking the raw egg the next day and was very wary of biting into it until after he saw that Jiggers' egg was raw. He was much happier with that egg.
