OMG your boy is adorable.

How many days has he been home now?

It is gonna take a while when you bring a new animal. She is showing she is Alpha, this is her home, and she rules it.

I would just make sure that you are not over doing the extra attention too much. You don't want her thinking you are rewarding bad behavior. They are smart and if they see that if they get "crabby" mommy is gonna love all over me and give me treats/. :)

LOL, just don't let her train you.

Ah yes, that makes sense. It's only been two days, so I know that it's going to take longer than that to get a peaceful household again.

So if he wants to play and she growls at him..... Who do I correct and how? Do I tell him to leave her alone? Do I tell her to not growl? Both?

It really depends on the situation. You know what is acceptable.

If he is being really pushy to her then correct him. As we know puppies are pushy play machines. esp mastiffs that are like lil tanks. :)

If she is just being a brat, then correct her.

They both need to learn the rules of what is appropriate behavior. With that being said, you have also just turned your home upside down when you brought him home. (in her eyes) So she is going to be jealous, and showing him who is boss.
