I took Linc off his previous food and went grain/chicken free
I went with TOTW but he doesn't like it at ALL. We switched him over the last 2 weeks and now I have to add toppers to his food. I dont want this to be a habit for him and I am wondering how soon I can switch him again. I am leaning towards FROMM's

Fromm's good stuff, but read the labels, a fair portion of their foods contain chicken in some form if you think thats the problem.

See thats where the problem lays. Either it has low calcium w/chicken or no chicken w/hight calcium. Im seriously confused.

Linc doesnt seem to like fish so Im stuck

Lol it's hard to cater to what they like!
If you give them crappy food, they will clear the dish within seconds, but it's not good quality!
The compromise if to find good quality food that they tolerate the best!

I will only buy the best but its hard. He is picky picky. And having to watch calcium levels being he is only 8 months old makes it even harder

Don't ever see anyone mention nutri source, but that's what I feed my bullmastiff pup and he seems to really love it.

EVERY single formula contains chicken in some form. If chicken wasn't an issue their large breed puppy formula does have the correct calcium/phos numbers.

Several of the PureVita line (owned by the same company) do not appear to contain any chicken, however they ALSO do not list any calcium/phos numbers.

Ditto the Natural Planet foods also owned by the same company.

I was first going to take out grains, but knowing the sensitivity these guys have I just went with the while shebang. I didn't want to have to phase out chicken in the end. So ya no chicken or grain.

BJM, my sully is also a VERY picky rater. Holy cow this is a disaster as well for me :( just had a $300 vet trip for a skin infection and gut infection, we switched his food a 4th time and now his poop is still not where it should be. He (a cane corso,11mo) finally eats this stuff, but I know it's not where his poop needs to be? Hes on a venison and sweet potato formula. I cant find TOTW locally. They ARE building a new store close to us so hopefully :)

Try adding some probiotics to his food and see if that helps his guts cope with the food.
