Hi everyone,

I've been checking out the forum a bit here and there and thought it would be a great place to join. We live near Milwaukee, WI, and have two beautiful English Mastiffs. Medusa is a three year old female and Drago is a 6 month old male. I am absolutely in love with the breed and our two "house ponies" make us laugh all the time. They are wonderful with our children. Right now they are our companions and guardians, as well as couch potatoes - but I would like to try some obedience, especially with my female. I'm not so very much into showing - we have horses as well, and I found the show ring to be very political and just not my cup of tea. I am sure I will have a ton of questions - right now I am researching health testing and pedigrees. Great to meet everyone!

Hello and welcome from another Wisconsinite and our EM house pony, Oscar! We're farther west, in the mighty metropolis of Hammond (pop. 1800 i think) not far from the Minnesota border. We've been working Oscar's OB with the eventual goal of getting his CGC. I haven't had horses for a few years now (5, i think, since I had to put my QH down) and never showed, but someday I'll get back in the saddle ... or lack thereof, anyway, always preferred bareback.

@rachiemay: come say hello! Beldenville is all of 20 minutes away ... assuming it's the same one, of course ... little tiny place with a PO and a couple of bars and that's about it.

I'll message you when I'm up there! I know I'm flying up on November 16 & I'll be there for about a week. Maybe we can get together for lunch! :)

Awww! :) that would be ok, but I'd understand if you want to skip out. I'm up there every year for Thanksgiving/deer season

Yeah - hubby will be in the woods or near it I'm sure ... told him he's on his own for butchering this year though!

Here are a few photos - Medusa is the fawn, Drago the reverse brindle. It is SO hard to get photos of these two - because they want to be right in my lap all the time. The last one cracks me up - Drago sleeps with his tongue out on occasion. Did that ever since we visited him at the breeder's house at 5 weeks old.

Oscar does that too but I have yet to get a pic to prove it! Couple of great-looking dogs you've got there!
