Yes, I know the title of the thread sounds funny...but bare with me here...it gets even more ridiculous.
A few nights ago, I was sitting at my computer playing a game. Uallis was happily snoozing on his couch. I was totally absorbed in my game. Suddenly, I hear, "BARRRRRBARRRRRR!!", Uallis starting screaming in "pain" (he got his foot wedged in between the cushions and it scared him...). He sounded like he was being murdered...really. It scared the crap out of me...My heart started beating fast, it made me shaky...it honestly took ME a minute to calm down because I honestly thought he's done major harm to himself by the sound of the scream...OMG!! It was SO loud.
Now every time, he gets on his couch...I hear in my head the loud, "BARRRRRBARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" and I have to make him move off the couch because it really bugs me to have him on it. I am afraid of Uallis being on his couch!! lol I've tried ignoring it and just letting him be...but I've become preoccupied with it. He'll be laying on his couch, snoozing and I'll find myself, obsessively, looking at him to make sure everything is fine. I'll check to make sure his feet aren't between the cushions...but it doesn't work, I'll have to make him move, eventually, for my peace of mind.
Now for another ridiculous aspect of the whole situation...I've been reading, "For the Love of a Dog" by Patricia McConnell...and when this happened I'd just finished reading the part on phobias and fears and how they can develop.... I'm ridiculous.
I told my boyfriend that we may have to get rid of the couch because I just can't handle it anymore...:scared2:
