Here in Victoria BC and seriously searching for Cane Corso. Have been on my mind the past 2-years and the time has come to introduce myself to this spectacular breed. Does anyone in here know of a breeder here on Vancouver Island that I may go and familiarize myself with the breed. Thx.

Hello Zues: thx for the welcome and welcome back. I like the colour of your Corso...don`t see to many like that. Excuse my pic, it is of my daughters 8 month old boxer`"Clarke". Will have to do till I find my forever friend.

hi paul, and welcome. I also dream of owning a cc one day and have been f
researching breeders forcabout 8 years now. if you want a wellbred dog, plan to travel a little bit. so far i have only seen one breeder in bc that i would have considrred and shes not really doing it so much now.

check out black shadow, but shes NB, so thats far. theres one in calgary too but their name eludes me atm....byron n betty osing, just cant remember their kennel name.

what is about the corso that attracts u to them?

Hey Paul, welcome to the forum. There is a woman in Chemainus that has CC. She will be breeding in the near future I believe. She health tests, shows, has temperament tested and has OB titles on her girl, who is from quality lines in CA. Besides that she is an amazing woman who cares a lot about the breed and is respected in the CC community. She quite often travels to Alberta to show as we have more dogs in the ring out here. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a breeder, as the most important aspect is she will do right by the breed and her puppy owners. I have known her personally for over 3 years now, and I am excited for her and her future program. Canada needs more reputable breeders and she is the only one I would recommend in the BC area at this point in time. If you are interested in getting in touch with her pm me and I will send you contact info. She will be more then happy to just chat CC.

Hey bully: thx for the note. Don't get me wrong, I am having a blast babysitting Clarke when daughter is away. I have never smiled so much in a long time. Truly a clown with 4 legs. Don't say adorable to loud...he might get a complex!:)

Good Morning Kelly: Thx for the contact and advice. I thought I was patient waiting 2-yrs in my search but you with 8...that is going to be a well prepared forever home for your puppy. You ask what it is about the breed that I find attractive! I ask you, what is it about them that is not? If you were to look up "Dog" in the dictionary you might just see an 8x10 glossy picture of a Cane Corso. There is no mistaking their silhouette, nor the look of devotion in their eyes. This powerful yet gentle animal is the ultimate family pet. Protective, obedient, loyal, and adaptable.

Just curious if this clip is appropriate behavior to let my puppies play. Between a 4 mth old PB X and a boxer. I think it is healthy play. Am I wrong?
