Chuck I hope you aren't thinking for yourself....
ace, it was unfortunate that prince charles didnt make it to any CAFIB event and it is also unfortunate that no filas made it to any CBKC event. The CAFIB standard is recognized in all countries of Europe, South America, and North America...
If you dont have a problem letting people choose then why interupt a thread about CAFIB breeders if you have nothing constructive to contribute?
And if you want to see whats wrong with the "developed" world take a look at Europe, crumbling to the ground as we speak. If CAFIB dogs were the best thing since crunchy peanut butter everyone would be jumping on board, but they are not.
But they are. I am not sure what gives you the impression that CAFIB hasnt doubled in shows and participants throughout the world in the last 5 yrs. Even in America it has grown although not as fast as it has grown in other countries.

I don't know anything abou them either but they were one of one my choices for breeder prospects. I've done some research on and off but nothing "intense" as of yet. If the number of dogs is true I agree that is a lot, IMO.
Its about the dogs.

lol, they are calluses... it is from sleeping on hard surfaces usually cement. CAFIB dogs (especially in Brazil) almost always have these because they are all outside dogs so they either sleep in their kennels or on the porch or on the dirt. At a CAFIB show points are not taken away for this as it is a natural occurance for farm dogs. My Maddy is an inside dog and doesnt have these but when it is fall, spring or the weather is cool she likes to stay out most of the day and after a month or so I can see lil bare spots on her elbows and that is where the callus would form.
after this post I got to looking at pics of dog calluses (yea, im nuts) and I came to a site that sold "calluse prevention" stuff for dogs...too freaking funny. They had one that was like shirt sleeves that you put on your dog so when it lays down its elbows would be covered... people are freaking NUTS!
It is common in ALL breeds of Mastiffs, actually any large breed period.Thanks. I figured it was something like that, they just look so unappealing, and wrong.
