Just checking and I don't see anything yet but is there another substitute for liver? Raw egg possibly?

Yes I have one dog out of 3 that won't eat it, even if I saute it in olive oil.

Try sauteing it in butter. When I cook chicken breast or pork chops for me and Debra, I usually pan fry it in butter. I would always leave that pan on the stove until in the morning. I would flash Cane's breakfast in it. He loved it and would eat almost anything that way. BTW, his breakfast was always boneless, never anything with bone. If you cook bacon, you could always save the dripping and saute in that.

Our pup wouldn't touch liver so we dehydrated it for a while and he loved it now he likes the taste he eats it raw no probs , I think it's the texture more than the taste so once you get them enjoying the taste then hopefully they will then eat it no probs

There are all sorts of freeze dried liver treats around now adays, too. Not perfectly raw, but at least a step in the right direction.

But to my knowledge, nothing compares to liver for nutrients.

Have you tried frozen liver? My puppy didnt like it too initially. I then froze it that gave him the biting/ chewing sensation. He has no problem eating the slimy liver/ kidney now. I also used to freeze it together with chicken meat so that it would stick together.

Yea thanks for bringing this back up.

I have took the time to cut up the Beef liver to byte size pieces and I shove it under the chicken skin, so far it has worked out.

Thanks for all input!
