So we got moved into the new house and the big dogs are loving the new yard. I moved the puppies into the living room so they could be around all the noises and nonsense that happens everyday. They have become so much more active and attention seeking.
It looks like my significant other finally relented and agreed that we can keep one. So one of the little girls will be staying here with us. I have picked the little black collared girl. She is a chubby wubby who has NEVER missed a meal, and the calmest, most reserved of the females. She also has my favorite head of all the females, a bit wider and shorter.
Here are some updated pictures of the little monsters at 4.5 weeks. They are all eating 3 meals a day of solid, soaked kibble and only spending time with Betty at night.... or when I let her into the pen after feeding time to clean up all the spilled kibbles. She is a good food vacuum.
Oh, one other thing.... SOOOOOOO MUCH cleaning. They are filthy little demons and I spend hours a day cleaning and sanitizing their area and feeding bowls/placemats. Not to mention picking up poo so they don't try to paw pain the entire area with it.... which they will and have done. I switched to a heavy duty tarp as a barrier between floor and puppy area, with heavy duty builders paper on top of that. It is strong enough that they don't rip through it, including Betty, and absorbent enough to soak up puppy pee. Not to mention 166ft is about 12bucks at Home Depot which compared to puppy pee pads that tear up quickly, a steal.
Here is my little black girl hanging out with me while I post:
She is passed out.
