Hi, Im new on this forum and have my first presa that is now soon 4 months. Dont have any completely fresh pictures of him at the moment but will add more. My Hercules is pure bred, his father was careful selected by the breeder from spain then transfered to norway for mating. They are bred to be strong and muscular, but at the same time atlethic. He loves people, but are very careful with other dogs in the beginning. He gets more confident each day that goes by!

Thanks, he is so calm and obedient. Ofcourse he has his moments, but what pup doesnt? lol. And my cat gets alot of beating these days, and he havent been picked on the nose of a dog before without smashing their face. He managed a knockout on my hercules though, but he was quick up and still as tough as always. Wierd thing is that they are friends, just havent found their limits to each other yet.

Thanks! He get lots of socializing, he is with me to work everyday. No bad experiences yet, so im hoping for the best. My wish is that he is just gonna ignore strangers and dont want nothing to do with them.

The breed standard states (FCI) "Head: Massive, brachycephalic and compact in appearance, covered with thick skin. The shape tends towards a slightly elongated cube. The cranial-facial lines are parallel or slightly converging." On a related note though, there is some schism in the Presa world over standards, as the dog becomes more popular, especially in North America where overall weight seems to be a major driving force for some, as compared to those who hold to an older more working-dog oriented structure (more muscular and athletic). So much so that some are even now differentiating by name - "Dogo Canario" and "Perro de Presa Canario". A short article on the topic below:

How is he doing? Any new pics? I have a five month old, but your four month olds head looks much bigger.

Hes doing excellent! Couldnt be more happier with my choice of breed and pup! I will try to upload them before Hercules and I gets company.

Got any pics of yours?

Beautiful Presa! He's growing very nicely! :)

Thanks :) He is a real couchdog too, but thats my fault. And a fault i'll happily live with, I like to have my dogs very close. Not much of a cage guy, or just have my dogs standing outside all the time.
