First I would like to say thank god for the advent of the internet and being able to simply GTS and find great forums with similar minded persons.

Now, a little bit about my family; there are five humans and currently one Yorkie-Poo and five bird dogs (pointer/setters);with an addition of a CC in a few weeks. We live in Southern KY (Bowling Green area) and I work/reside part time in Northern TN (Clarksville area). My three adults in training are all school age and are super excited about the new pup. Land is not a problem as main home is country with plenty of leg room.

So, my question is about ear cropping and tail docking. I have exhaustively read about the proper shape and cut of the ear (equilateral triangle);as well as the proper tail docking site (4th vert). I have also burned probably more copies of pictures of what I believe to be correct or ideal ear croppings from every angle. Now, I need to find the right vet who has experience and or talent to perform the operation correctly the first time.

Long winded, but the question is; does anyone know of or can point me in the right direction of a vet in or near by the locations listed above. Don't mind traveling a little but not looking to have to get passports or go on a long road trip. Any and all help is greatly appreciated and accepted. Once again thank you in advance and hope we can get some pics up of the young'n soon.

I would check for good breeders in your area for a reccomendation.
That is one reason I did not have my girls ears cropped if done wrong it looks terrible, also I'm a softie and didn't want to cause them pain, but both of mine have cropped tails if left natural they would become weapons.

Dr. Mike is one of the best ear crop vets anywhere. I've seen a lot of his work and I'm always impressed.

Thank you for the references. I am going to call them both and talk about it with them.

Also unless there's a real need for it sometimes it's not even necessary.
