Hello everyone!!
Just wanted to stop and say hi! I have a BEAUTIFUL 2 year old female EM. Turbo is her name! And some questions I have are..
What is a good trick when it comes to her shedding? What type of brush works best? Shampoo? She gets bathed about 2 times a month. Would going to the groomer help any? She gets brushed daily but nothing seems to really work all that great!!

What a looker! And how cute is his little buddy!?!

Sorry, I don't have any advice for shedding. I don't think a groomer will be able to do more than what you are doing.

BTW, welcome.

If you figure it out please let me know lol.
I have two Cane Corsos one only sheds twice a year, the other sheds 24/7
I take them to the groomer and have them give her shedding treatment but nothing works
For me either.

Beautiful girl!

Sorry no advice on decreasing shedding. Dog hair is a fashion staple here, even furniture and home furnishing decisions are based on how well it will hide dog hair. :)

Well thank you all. I've gotten use to it but would still love to find a way around constantly lint rolling EVERYTHING!!! Haha

I'm currently working on getting Max to accept being vacuumed. He's blowing his winter coat and I've been filling my Hoover twice a day for 3 weeks. I figure it's easier to vacuum him than to vacuum the house.

We use a furminator and love it! Still ..like Tric says..mastiff hair is a fashion statement and staple in our house. Our EM just stopped majorly shedding (hallelujah) but the furminator was our best friend!

We use a horse-style deshedder: p-2827-30943-shed-blade.jpg

But, Denna doesn't shed much (not sure how that happened... she's raw fed now, but didn't shed much on kibble her first 6 months, either)... the cat sheds plenty for both of them (she also loves the deshedder).

You could try adding some fish oil and/or coconut oil as a supplement and see if that helps - but as evidenced by the long list of others posting, it's not an uncommon issue. :)

Love the picture with the little belly-buddy curved up with your pup. Sweet!!

Denna's mom...that's the rake I referred to in my last post about shedding. Turbo's mom...if you find the answer, sell it. You'll be rich!
Welcome to the forum. Keep sending the pix. We love pup pictures here! Turbo is a great looking girl.

I rake Max daily. Bathe monthly with burts bees puppy shampoo. Spot was with a washcloth and water if he gets a little dirty. He still sheds. My staff know when I've been home for lunch because of hair and drool. I keep baby wipes and lint roller in the car now!
