Presa Canario??

Very nice looking boy...I've drooled over Cabeza Grande's dogs for a while. I used to be on a chat board that she was on quite a bit and she seems to know her stuff!

I've been considering a Presa down the road in the future...but I'm just not sure yet. There's so many options!

Thanks! Yes, I've seen some of the conversations going on at ElPresa forum and it's just too much bickering going on for me.

HA that forum brings back some memories. Nothing but blowhard "politicians" who do nothing but talk. At least the people they were putting down were actually doing something with their dogs. :D

I'm a member on ElPresa too... but I could never bring myself to post. Too many sensational attitudes over there.

I was considering a Presa too at one time, they are one of the few molosser breeds who I've seen that are still good for PPD work (NOT sport work)... but, I went with Parka (Boerboel) instead because I trust his breeder. But I do love the Presa breed!

I read your page on using dogs as LPD's. Very interesting reading and real informative.

From what I've seen and know about the Corso breed if you get them from a good breeder (like every dog) they have remarkable temps very balanced even good prey in the non mastiffy type.....

Where did you here about corsos having unstable temperaments

I'm sure it can happen with any breed but from what I've read, heard or researched, Presa's are a bit more on the aggressive side and that Diane Whipple story didn't help. My Presa hasn't shown any of those negative traits, he's actually a lot calmer and obedient than I thought he'd be at first.

Second paragraph........4th sentence.
I'm sure this is a bs web page but it goes to show the differing opinions out there and any pup coming from a garbage breeder can have unstable temperament tendencies.

I'm not bashing the cane corso or any other breed, I almost got one. I don't think the dogs are the problems, the blame falls directly on the irresponsible breeders or owners out there.

I'd have to agree with u as well cuz I've never heard about Corso's having unstable temps. Although, if raised incorrectly and exposed to violence, any dog would be unstable.

I've never heard of that forum...I just knew of her from a general dog chatroom that was through AOL.
