  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Roxy as she grows

Roxy my newest edition. We bought her with intentions of breeding her with Hank. Not as a source of income but because we love the breed so much. I want to always be the proud owner of a male from Hanks bloodline.
Roxy was born Jan. 14, 2015.

She's just the sweetest lil thing. She's going through a skitish phase atm where she's a lil jumpy and likes to bark at everything. I have to rely on Hanks bark to know if something is actually there or not. I'm positive in time she will grow just as smart and confidant as Hank is.

We spent time working the leash more today and she is getting so much better. She also seems to think the command lay down means tuck tail and run lol. Sit is a non issue, its in the bag, stay is hit or miss.

I don't have any baby photo's of her because we actually bought her after she was already about the size she is now, or close enough to not be able to tell in a photo anyways.

Did she ever notice the bunny under the truck in pix 1 first post? You can see it better in the crop shot px 2 in first post...
Max loves bunnies and squirrels.

I was wondering if anyone would notice it lol.

I think the dogs associate bunnies with kitties and because we have a cat they aren't allowed to chase, I've not seen them actually chase a bunny. They do enjoy watching them though, and chasing the neighbors goats on the other side of the fence lol. We have a bunny problem in my neighborhood actually, I have to pout chicken wire around small trees and plants or they get chewed to nubs.

My neighbors mastiff's on the other hand. They are like lil pack hunter's. They'll chase em down as a group and wait or dig to get them and eat them. We have a friend that actually got pretty upset after watching it happen once. When my dogs are over there they run around like they are hunting but they aren't motivated like the others.

Handsome dogs, Everything. You are a big-hearted man and husband to welcome the animals into your loving care. Have a great day.

Huh, Here's something interesting. I went to register Roxy. Turns out she is related to Hank. They share a Great Grandpa. Rumsey's Lord Marmaduke of V.V. I am digging around in their past now. To see what I can find. I also Have found some pictures of her Grandma. Kind of cool. Kind of worries me. Since I've found this forum, I've learned so much. One of the things I learned is, I don't know as much about anything as I thought I did lol. Anyways.... Pics

This is Merckles Hilltop Miss Khloe. Khloe is Roxy's grandma on her father's side... There is a thread on this forum from a few years back and some the things I found about this place has me sort of worried. IS there a way to find out if any of the dogs along my dogs pedigrees have been health tested for sure or not? I noticed Rumsey's Lord Marmaduke of V.V. is the only one I have a DNA# for. Does that mean anything?

Just giving this a bump so the smarter people can see it =)

I just realized I didn't ask. Are they to closely related to pair? I feel like they are. Sharing a great grandpa and all.
