seizures in a young Spanish Mastine

Our 2yr old male, Spanish Mastine has had 3 grand mal (sp) seizures in the past 12 hours. I've read as much as I can find on the net, and the vet will be coming tomorrow to see him, do blood work, etc.

Do any of you have experience with a cluster of seizures like this? Love to hear any thoughts on what might be the cause of it. Right now, we can't rule anything out. He is on a raw meat diet, but once in a while gets kibbles, which he did last night, a few hours before his first seizure.

Looking for answers...

I've had no experience with it but a few forum members have dealt with the disorder. Has he been checked by a canine neurologist?

the vet arrives to day for testing... during the 4th seizure in 20hrs, we were able to administer diazapan, that the local vet had written us a prescription for. That was yesterday aft. and there have been no new seizures since. So traumatic.

we will see what the blood tests show.
