I made a trip up toward Olallie Lake yesterday to scatter Chance's ashes.
I decided he'd be happier outdoors where he had romped about, rather than being stuck in a dark little box.
I took some time to say goodbye (again), and concluded that if there is a god- dogs will have an express trip ticket into heaven.
For a brief disturbing moment, I wondered if that might diminish the quality of the eternity experience for folks who'd disliked dogs in their earthly incarnations...
but then realized those folks will all be in hell, surrounded by cats.
It all works out in the end.
