  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

So my little Brodie has had both of us on a behavior rollercoaster these last few months. The last week has been fabulous! I can't wait to get home! She has been so good-listening, not lunging at me much at all, has shortenend the length and severity of the zoomies. What is going on??? Do I have to cancel my hotel reservation I made for the bad behavior sprees? She is walking well, listening to my commands and actually LOOKING to me for direction. She has the occasional issues certainly, with pulling the throw rugs around the house, but much easier to re-direct.
Could it be that this is the young lady(15m) working her way to adulthood? Or is it a cruel, cruel joke she is playing on me?
Even with the rain all day yesterday, she was calm and content chewing on her bone. Do I need to take her to the vet?

She's reaching maturity and you've worked your butt off to train her. Relax...take the good because you've been dealing with a lot of bad.

Yay!!! I will still hold my breath a bit cause I don't think we are completely out of the woods yet. I keep telling myself-the hotter the fire, the purer the gold. Yes, we have had a hard time. I completely understand her behavior probably is connected to the amount of stress in the house last year, and my poor reaction to that stress. She reacts to me, and at times, her frustration is taken out on me. I get it.....I did the same crap to my mom!
I have loved on her this past week to the point I did not want to leave the house! Wonderful morning times on the couch with coffee watching HGTV. Walks at the park. Watching her spin and buck when she knows a bone is coming. Life is good......

I will take one day at a time as I know the poop could hit the fan once again as she is still a teenager. Grateful for the "lull" in the action, though!

Keep up with her training and take a deep breath and relax, she's doing great and it just takes maintenance.
Please remember they pick up on your emotions a lot of times feel off the s if your a bundle of nerves, it could cause a set back, because she is worried that you are worried.

I just talked to her breeder. She says her sister is already going into her second heat at 15 months. Yikes! Brodie had hers at 11 months so I am hoping this isn't a pre-heat thing. That would put her going into a second one really fast.
Anyway-I am enjoying it what ever the source!

Went to the vet yesterday for yearly shots and a pedicure(shouldn't that be free when you spend over 100$?). Lil Brodie weighs 81 pounds(munchkin) at 15 months old. She was good letting the tech trim her nails(mommy brings treats) and took the 3 shots in her but like a champ-wiggled some but not much. Proud of my girl!!!!

Deb, I would love to but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I am an idiot with this stuff. Just imagine a tiny brindle BM with big eyes and long eye lashes! I will figure this out soon....
