These poor dogs need help

I dont normally do this but I got this on my FB. And it just makes me sad. These two dogs are almost gone from hunger. Thier in a foster home but have a long up hill battle. So if anyone wants to help them, even just share the facebook link.

WARNING. Very sad to see and read

How about a challenge? I used to love the MD telethons and I loved it when they would do a challenge on the local station break aways. So anyways I will donate one dollar for every picture that is posted on this thread of their dog eating something. It can be a treat, dinner, their poop, don't care. It just breaks my heart that these two girls were all but starved to death.

Unfortunately, I'm not rich, so I do have to put a limit of 100.00 dollars and a deadline of 7pm this Friday. I think it will be fun and hopefully help bring awareness to the plight of our gentle giants in need. The donation will be made in the Mastiff Forums name. If the moderators don't have a problem with this.

If anyone else would like to make a pledge that would be great, a dime a picture would be great or a flat five dollar pledge. The most important thing is to post a picture and let us see your giants.

WOW Chuck, Kona is beautiful. Guess I haven't seen her in a while. You need to post some more pics of her.

There is just something wrong. Budda with a little bitty twizler and slim with a huge bone:lolbangtable:

That's 3 bucks lets keep it going.

Thank you. I will get some this weekend as she turns 1 on the 12th. I thought it was last month but I was wrong. She's much more mastiffy now. And way to big. Fricken heathen is what she is, hahahaha.

Whats worse than slim with the big bone is budda standing over him doing his chubaka whine. Sounded just like em. But he would never take it

Mmmmm, tried to upload a pic but I think I have to resize it first! I'll have another go later!

I just wanted to add a note about these girls, as I've been following their story on another mastiff forum -- (whose members actually were able to organise transportation to the Southern States Rescue and their foster home). The really horrible 'walking skeleton' first pics were taken when they were initially rescued, prior to their trip to SS. They would no doubt not have survived the drive at that point. People donated quite a lot of money for food and medical interventions. They have each put on about 40 lbs since then -- as you can kind of tell from the third and fourth pics. So whilst they still urgently need more funds for medical care and surgery, at least they have a good start to recovery.

Oh wow, glad to hear that they have started putting on weight. Our girl was that way when we first saw her picture. It still haunts me, even though she is a fat little pig now. I would really love to take in another rescue but I'm afraid it would upset our balance and I'm getting to old to try and get in the middle of a dog fight. I just thought this might be a fun way to bring attention to rescues and maybe get to enjoy some pictures. And yes, soothe my guilty conscience because we can't save all of them.

Of course every picture counts and the first one with the 5 babies eating, counts as 5. Yea!

Thank you!!! Keep them coming.

Bah, I got onto the computer to post pictures of our crazies, but it looks like the husband took our external hardrive (with ALL our pictures) to MO with him. He'll be home Thursday - just in time to squeeze in some pictures of our pups before your Friday deadline!

What a great idea, angelbears - I've been inspired by your genorosity, and I'll be donating as well! Hope those girls find the loving forever home they deserve.

Thanks Chuck! I think I went about it wrong. After rereading the post it kind of screams look at me I'll give some money. I don't think I meant it that way. I just thought it would be a fun way to be able to post pictures. I know I would post pictures everyday but I think everyone would get bored with that. Besides I seem to only get two types of pictures, the ones where they are looking at me with that DUH! not again look or I get their butt as they are running by. Time for me to get a couple of mine posted.

With all of the shots I have of these dogs, this is the only one I can find where someone is eating. This is Sunny @ the Saturday Market, sharing a Popcraft popsicle with me. His favorite flavor is coconut cream :)

Do lemurs count?

Emily, Calvin and Lottie are sweethearts. I'm sure they are greatly missed.

Knox sure went extreme, little rawhide to Grandma's super treat. Just wait until Roux has pig head for the first time.

Thank you Emily!

Oh yes, lemurs count. Check back later I'm trying to post some non dog pics too.

Thank you Ruby!
