I imported a couple of real nice ones from Stradone kennels in Italy back in the late nineties. I loved them, they made really nice pets but they had no stamina. A 1 mile walk and they were done. They both died of bloat before they were four years old. Had typical cherry eye problems and some skin issues. Mine couldn't even jump in the back of my jeep Cherokee. I could not ever have used them for protection work, so for me they did not make a good working dog. Liked I said, I loved them but I personally wouldn't own another one. On the better side I think if you bought from a kennel that didn't breed them so overdone, you would have better luck then I did. Less health issues and even some working abilities
