Tongue stuck in a bone lol!

Yes you read that right, Karl got his tongue stuck in a bone the other day lol. When i go shopping i buy a bag of small beef marrow bones so it keeps the dogs busy so i can bring the grocery bags in without being mauled . So after about 30 mins of them chewing i notice karl keeps moving to a different spot to chew his bone. So after about the 4th time of him moving im starting to think something isnt right, so he comes to almost infront of me and tries to drop the bone but then it boings back into his mouth, i'm like what the hell, now im thinking hes got some sinue stuck in his teeth and he cant get it out. So i reach in and grab the bone and pulled on it and now im noticing that his tongue is stuck inside the bone lol. He has got his tongue caught on some bone shards on the inside and its acting like a fish hook, OMG!! How the hell am i to get this off of him. I tried just pulling it at first and his tongue would stretch out like bubble gum, not budging. So next thing i think to do is stick my finger in the other end and push his tongue out, i feel the shards and push on them as they are small and the tips break easy enough and thankfully he was able to pull his tongue out and his tongue seemed to be unscathed. Never had a dog get their tongue stuck in a bone EVER! lol

Lol poor boy. With Karl never a dull moment I bet. You must be a miracle worker handling a pack of filas; I know I have my hands full with the one I have.

glad it came off easily ! scary thing to have happen. We have had many dogs in the office that we have had to sedate to get bones unstuck from assorted ways - never a tongue though LOL
