I finally got Dozer a Jolly Ball, but I got the one without a handle or rope (for indoor use!). He played with it for about 2 minutes then ignored it. How sad. Is there something special about the one with the handle?

Is this a hard one or a soft one ? Hector doesn't like the jolly ball either.

I'm thinking it's a hard one? I'm not sure what the soft one feels like, but this one can't be smushed very easily.

Oh well. Guess I'll have to wait until I have a yard to get him the one with a handle! When I roll this one across the room, he just looks at me like, "why don't YOU go get it?" Jolly ball without a handle = failure.

The jolly balls on here are ones that can be smushed, but the shape reforms right away so it can't eve r be deflated by a dog chewing or digging their teeth in it.

I give up for now on the balls. I was trying to find a ball that he would play with, but I think he prefers the tug-of-war toys over any balls or fetch toys. He did like the Chuckit glow ball XL for a couple days, but became disinterested in that as well. At least I know cardboard boxes will never get old.

And I can't get mine to play with a cardboard box to save my life. When everyone was doing the "Cardboard box tear em up thread" or w/e it was. I wanted to join in on the fun but my pups just weren't having it. All for the better I guess lol.

Enzo is loving the 12" Jolly egg..hard plastic ,he likes to play soccer with it in the snow...however recently he was able to bite into it....now he can grab it around the fat part and carry it around, he bites right thru it like nothing.....

Tuffy toys are a big hit here-they even have a "tuff" scale, 1-10 depending on how aggressive a chewer you have. Indy, my mastiff does well with 8+ while Ollie my English bulldog will obliterate anything under a 10!

I've gotten some from Tuffy directly but most from Amazon for ease. From $8 or so to in the $20's.
West Paw Design Zogoflex are a favorite, too!

The blue thing(the toys are strange looking, but very popular!) -they're tired out at this point! Got them on Amazon, too. Prices around $10.
The Bionic Bone in extra large is a huge success(got it from local supplier, but then Amazon. XL approx $15. Lasts awhile with both. They have other toys with same material.

Not a great pic, but it's the orange toy partially shown!
Don't have a pic, but another favorite that's lasted awhile is the Planet Orbee Double Tuff Diamond

Plate balls! They love this thing. Amazon around fifteen for the large.

Sadly, Indy's favorite toys are giant stuffies-but they don't last long with his brother, the baby shark around!

I was going to add, in our experience here, we got the jolly ball with the handle-once! The handle was gone within the hour(by Indy) then that just gave him a great starting point to rip the thing to pieces! Also, got the hard plastic one with holes to grip-he hated it! I guess a lot of it depends on the particular dog because I've read of so many others loving theirs and having them last!

Jolly Ball didn't last long around here, but the Jolly Egg is going strong. No one plays with it except Cobi, & he's only interested in it if I toss it in his kiddie pool --evidently toys are NOT allowed in the pool & must be removed immediately -- or if I take it outside & play soccer with him. the Tuffy toys are pretty good, but Ally will lay down with it & chew on the black binding that goes around the edge until she can get her teeth into it, & rip it off. Then it gets destroyed in no time. Stuffed toys are still a favorite, especially after they've been gutted & beheaded. (sigh)

raji, is that Diamond Plate ball stuffable, or is it solid? I love those pics, btw! Do your dogs use the Zogoflex together? Our Zogoflex started tearing at the curves, but it's the most used toy and has held up really well.I just got Dozer a Jolly Ball with the rope, but he's more interested in the rope and not at all interested in the ball part. I give up on the Jolly Balls!
