Tyson's growth chart

I know it's not the same but when Kryten had his surgery at 16 months old he lost about 20 lbs the following week. Time, patience, love and yummy treats helped him start to regain what he had lost. Healing can also take a lot of energy which can slow down regaining lost weight.

You can see the scar where the skin graft was taken on his side.

Still no weight gain but his leg is almost healed. It is taking forever! He is finally off his sedation medicine so maybe he will start eating more now. I will post a pic later.

It's awesome to hear Tyson is feeling well enough to be a butt head! Its what mastiff boys do best most days! :)

Same size. Been feeding him good but not gaining any weight.

His wound has gotten bigger since he has been running and getting more exercise. So he is back on the sedation meds for awhile. No pic as he looks the same. That snake did a real number on him. Hope you guys never have to go through this with your babies.

I'm sorry to hear that he's still having issues with the wound. Poor Tyson...Poor mom and dad... I hope he heals quickly and gets back to normal soon.

Scooby56, I just read your story, I don't know how I missed it, it's so similar to what I have been going through recently with Jake. Ours wasn't a snakebite even though that was the first thought the vets had. It was just an infection that went septic. We also were warned he may have to have is leg amputated, thankfully it didn't come to that. Due to the extent of the necrosis of the skin and tissue we almost went for a skin graft but the surgeon wanted to hold off after she saw how well he was healing on his own. Amazingly most of his skin has grown back and the scar tissue isn't as extensive as what we thought. He is still fighting infections and we are hoping to get it all under control soon, this has been an ongoing battle since September for us.

Sorry i haven't been on here in awhile. Tyson is doing good. His leg is almost healed and he doesn't have to wear a bandage on it anymore.
His leg has a scar but it is only about a quarter of the size it was at its largest.

18 months 120lbs 30"

I doubt he will grow anymore as his height and weight have stayed about the same for several months. I will post some pics later when I get a chance.

I would look for him to grow some more, while It may have stunted him a bit, 18 month to 2.5 year I would think he would slowly pick up another 20 to 40lbs an maybe another 1/2 inch or so.

Kryten seemed to reach his full height around 12 months but despite loosing weight during his surgery and recovery period he did manage to gain about 30 lbs by his second birthday. Much of which I think was from bone growth as he became 'more solid' looking. Every part of him just seemed to thicken. So depending on what Tyson's line is comprised of (stocky vs lanky) that may still occur for him too.

He is kinda laying on his scar but it looks great compared to what it did look like.
