Kujo will be turning 1 in a week!! I know he could care less and is none the wiser that it's a special day for him, but I want to do something special for him....for me lol.

I've read that mixing raw food in with a mainly kibble diet can be upsetting for their tummies, and I was thinking of getting a big meaty bone...should I get a raw meaty bone or cook one for him?

I'm also planning on a spinach omelet for breakfast, and a steak for dinner (bone would be lunch)... I'm very open to suggestions for these meals...

What have ya'll done for your dogue's birthdays? Feel free to share your stories here :)

Haha I'm sure!!! Our guys get the occasional raw snack, we just space it out from their meals. Soundalike Kujo will be eating better on his birthday than I did on mine!

Yeah, a big raw bone would be fine. I had a Peanut Butter cake made for Ruger and of course he got presents and a birthday hat. He actuallly had spaghetti which is something I never let him have but on his birthday he was a happy boy to get some. LOL He had Chick Fil A chicken mini's for breakfast. The things we do for these pups, huh?

all that and no steak!? :p

Poor Denna... I think I took some extra pictures. :)

LOL! Now that's a "sane" response to a dogs birthday, Denna could care less as long as you're there :)

Well, since Mateo is so not a foodie (plus he gets plenty of raw steak anyway), I opted for an adventure. An old boyfriend was in town from LA, had a rental car and some time so.....we went to a sandy riverbank with some walking trails nearby.

Long story short, Mateo ended up in a pile of mud, which for him, means a perfect day. :D

Gosh, it was fun to go back and find these pics. He wanted to kill the number 1. LOL

As for Kujo, how about that special drink that you make!?!

NO COOKED BONES!!!! Get him some chicken feet. Most dogs love them and they are a great supplement for their joints. Some grocery stores carry them and you can buy just 2 or 3 pounds at a time.

We decided Kujo doesn't get any special drinks until he's 2 years old...then he can have ONE beer.

And yeah, he looks like he's about to murder that cupcake :scared2:

We haven't got 2 one yet with simba. But are other dogs had birthday parties, cake and Xmas presents every year so I'm sure he's is not going to be much different. Sounds like kujo will have a great day :) x

Aw, Kujo is a lucky pup! For Luigi's 5th b-day, i stuffed a small banana with peanut butter and that was his cake. He loved it! & shared a little piece with his sister haha

I bet Simba will love every minute of all those holidays! Hard not to spoil these guys when they give you "the look"

What a great idea! Unfortunately Kujo doesn't care for bananas...but maybe if they were stuffed with peanut butter he would reconsider..worth a shot! :D
