Weighing in!!

Ok so the vet said Duke is only 11 weeks today but my math puts him at 12... Dob 1/19/13??

Anyways. He weighed in today at his vet check at 27.8lbs!! He's growing so fast.

So not sure if this sounds right, but the vet said they mark him at 11 weeks based on his tooth growth??? They think the breeder had his DOB wrong by 1 week. It's crazy to me but it seems like everyday I come home from work and Duke is bigger! Sometimes I think Im nuts, but then I pick him up and my lower back reminds me that he is a lug!!

Hmmmm I've never heard of that! That's interesting to know! I think the same thing. We put Titus in the kennel at night and I get up and let him out in the morning and I'm like crap u look like u had another growth spurt. It's ridiculous how fast they grow!

We just had to put the legs on the elevated bowls for the girls because they are now at the height to eat out of them, its amazing how fast they grow! The girls will be 12 weeks next tuesday and are almost 30lbs a piece!!

They definitely grow TOO fast! I can remember when mine would grow almost 5 lbs in a week. I swear he grew out of his first collar in no time. I do find it odd that they would move dob off by a week based on teeth. That's why it's an average, that's like saying every dog gets and starts losing teeth at the exact same age. My youngest pup didn't lose his first tooth til almost 20 weeks, whereas my older one was losing them at 16.

I thought it sounded crazy too! I still consider him 13 weeks now. I just have to remind myself that the vet is a week behind. LOL.

Do they ever grow fast! Luke was 40 lbs at 14 weeks on march 22nd. I weighed him at work yesterday 60,2 lbs!!! Still very lean but tall, 23inch over the shoulder.

Titus is now 18 weeks and weighs in at 68 lbs. by the vet. They grow super fast! Duke is a very handsome guy! I love ur pics of him.

Thanks. Although I have to admit, it usually takes 5-6 attempts to get one good photo. He's moves so dang much. He is def not a lazy EM.

Sissy was 23.4 at 10 weeks. At 13 weeks she as 37...scared me that she was growing too fast but I guess its ok?
