What is the best dog bed for the DDB

Searching for a new bed for Ryker and wondering what is the best option for the money, and health of Ryker. He loves his bed so much but has outgrown his current one.

We just use human single mattresses for ours - one each. We have a couple of then in each room. They aren't allowed on sofas and beds (at least I've not caught them on any yet!)

HAH!!! :lolbangtable:

A lot of folks will get an old crib mattress and use that for their mastiffs. Kujo is still going strong on his first Kong bed, but he's not destructive which is the only reason I think it's lasted so long...about 8 months now. If your ddb is destructive...well...good luck ;)

Kuranda beds are wonderful! Someone recommended it from a different post. It really is great. They are more "cot-styled beds. It helped tremendously with Castle’s hygroma and they are extremely durable. It is by FAR the BEST bed I have invested in for Castle. He tore through many other beds, some of which had warranties against pet damage, but after the 3rd bed I got tired of the hassle of exchanging them. I use it for his crate bed. He has an old chase that he uses otherwise. BTW castle is a 150 lbs BM, so very comparable to your DDB as far as the bed thing goes.

hahahahahahaha! Titan sleeps on the bathroom or hallway floor because it's cool. During the day, he sleeps in his crate minus any kind of padding. I tried to put a sheet, blanket, towel, and big pillow and moved them out of the way so he could sleep on the bare plastic of the crate.

I have 4 dog beds in the house for the dogs-1 in the kitchen, 2 in the living room, and one in my bedroom - though they are allowed on the furniture and sleep on my bed at night.

Bub prefers to sleep on the floor, normally beside my chair or on the tile in the kitchen. The puppy has a bed that she sleeps on made out of egg-crate mattresses (I have 3 dog beds made out of them - they are all 3 layers thick, not including the ones in the crates) and then I also have a dog bed from like Wal-Mart/TSC laying out for them - which mostly just gets dragged round by the puppy.
