Will 8month male bullmastiff do good wi 8 week old male bullmastiff

Hey I have an 8 month old BM. He's the greatest dog ever , supercool, just being himself, just got him neutered also. Well I have an 8 week old male coming into the house first week of January 11' and just hoping things will work out with the two of them. I am a pretty firm owner and definitely has paid off with Zeus! I'm just curious to know what to expect or how this will turn out....any advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks!

usually if your going to have a pair of dogs, it's better to go with a male-female combo. but since you've already picked out your new pup, just be careful and keep a constant eye of them. they're probably not old enough yet to have any problems but it could change. just as a general rule of thumb with any molosser type breed or other bull breed, never leave them together unsupervised. having both males neutered can help. good luck and congrats on the next addition!

Thanks for the advice! I crate train my dogs and my eyes are definitely on him now whenever he's out the crate so I'm sure having two will have my eyes glued to them. Wondering if I should sit the crates next to each other or not? It's hard to have just one ....these guys are addictive!

You're very welcome! And yeah, I think the crates being next to each other is just fine. As long as they can't touch each other through them you shouldn't have any problems. :)

We have a 13 month old Bull Mastiff "Moose", and just brought home a new English Mastiff male a few days ago name "Diesel". We had the same concerns as you did. Moose was extremely gentle with the kids and got along well with the cat as well so we figured he would be fine but wasn't sure. So far they get along great. He's extremely gentle with the puppy and they play all the time. The first day was like introducing two unruly teenagers to the house but their play sessions have calmed down after a few days and aren't as long or frequent. So far so good.

Here's a few pics.
