Thanks everyone! LOL ruby55 your dancing icons made me laugh!!

More news-we found out that he probably is not anemic. The doctor said he's cautiously optimistic. His stitches still look good, he gets his drain out next week. The doctor is saying Tank is not completely out of the woods yet because we're still not entirely sure how he got the injury on his stomach area. It could have been a mass, but there is a good chance we feel he was in a fight and the old owners never treated him and just dropped him off. When they dropped him off apparently they didn't even leave vet information for the spca-talk about shady!!

He's still as precious as ever!! :)

Thanks everyone, I'm so happy he's doing so well! He was whipping his pillow pet around today, it was so cute!

He goes to the vet tomorrow morning to get his drain taken out. I'm not 100% sure if the stitches come out as well, though.

But I can't remember if I've said anything about it on here, but Tank appears to have happy tail -_- we thought at first that maybe he was chewing it because of anxiety or something. But every time someone comes in the house he wags his tail sooo hard and always gets blood on something. We're lucky if it's not our clothes! We've tried to wrap it a few times but he flings his tail so hard it actually goes flying off. I guess we'll just try to keep wrapping it.

I'm sure others on here have dealt with happy tail, how do you usually wrap it if it's bad enough to? Of course we want to try and avoid having to amputate it because this dog has been through enough!

Hey all, sorry I haven't been on here in a bit! So we're not entirely sure if Tank is out of the woods yet with his incision area, since of course we don't really know how he got it to begin with. He got his drain out about 2 weeks ago I believe, and yesterday he finally got his stitches taken out! Woohoo! The incision area actually looks really good and that area is starting to grow hair again. He's in good spirits, he was super happy to see us yesterday it was crazy! But he was a bit loopy because they sedated him to take the stitches out. So having him in the car on the way home was a job in itself. He has been scratching his ears and constantly shaking his head for weeks now. Apparently he had a yeast infection, which I would have never thought of. He isn't scratching his ears as much as he's on 3 medications (yeah, all for his ears!). So now that's taken care of as well and that should heal up fine, thankfully.

Overall he's doing very well. No more bread thievery when we leave the house, lol! The only thing he seems to do when we leave the house is bark (unless either my mom or I are home). Because when we're out of the house my sister and brother both said he just walks around and barks the whole time we're gone. But when it's one of us home and everyone else is out, he's totally relaxed. I guess he identifies with my mom and I as being "caretakers," if you will. Since he sleeps in my room and I help with his needs, and of course my mom is with him the most during the week especially since the days I have class I am here from 10am-4:30pm. So I guess it makes sense that he would have some type of anxiety when we leave the house. Other than that, no destruction, trash is away now when we leave and steps are blocked off so he doesn't go upstairs and tear our rooms apart (he started pulling clothes out of my brother's closet a few weeks ago!).

So once again, sorry I haven't been on here in a little while! I have time to kill in between classes right now (next one isn't for another 30 mins) and figured now would be a good time to come on and update! :)

Thank you everyone, it's been nice to be able to come on here and give happy updates :) and thanks Kujo, that made me smile!

He's quite the funny one too, we're trying to limit his time on the furniture right now only because he's shedding so bad (otherwise we're fine with it). My mom was laying on the couch I think yesterday and he tried to get up. When my mom told him no, he promptly got up and sprawled across my mom. It's funny how they seem to think they're not as big as they really are, haha!
