What kind of vacuums do you use pros and cons
we use a dyson. Pros -- excellent suction (our biggest 'challenge' is shedding from our iwh, lol), comparatively light and maneuverable, no bags to change. If it does get plugged up, the design makes it simple to disassemble and reassemble parts to clear plugs. It is also very durable. We have had ours for over five years and have only had to replace filters and one belt. I don't really have any cons, except it was more expensive than other brands -- but excellent value at the end of the day. Before we bought a dyson, we went through three different vacuums from different manufactures in a little over two years. We also invested in a rug shampoo-er which is a godsend.
Can't say that I blame you. We really don't need carpeting in Florida; no need to keep the floors warm in winter...easier to keep clean from spills/accidents/fleas.I WANT to get rid of my carpet. As soon as we can afford it.....

The plank flooring is awesome. Doesn't wear like hardwood; it kind of ages & looks prettier with time. I would imagine it would be very expensive though. Ours was salvaged from a department store that was demolished.
