I do not see a section geared towards this breed..any fanciers? I've been a pitbull man all of my life and trying something new...what can I expect?

Well theres just me really..lol... I own a Dutch Riker Bandog from Roger Williams of Steel-Trap kennels....I am a huge advocate for bandogs and like to think i know a little about them and if not i have some of the worlds best bandog breeders on tap..so if you have any questions fire away...Its nice to have someone else aboard with the passion for them....WELCOME!!

Edit: you did ask a question.. I owned APBTs also before owning a bandog i think thats where alot of us come from APBT and Ambull former owners... the difference is gonna depend on the line you get them from have you been looking around? if so who? there is ALOT of crap out there and theres alot of sifting through garbage to get to the gold....what kind of work do you plan on doing with him/her? there are lines better for certain things too...sorry about all the questions its just there is alot of diversity in the bandog world and if you want a good pup gotta use the microscope

I am confused. Shouldn't you be breeding them with certain expectations? I would think that breeding bandogges would be something that would have to be throughly thought through with an intentional end result. How is it you do not know what to expect?

I dont know what a zulu mastiff is myself..thats y im asking. Took him off a friends hands who lost his house. and yes I do breed game pits ....im only allowed one breed?

why are you breeding dogs that have questionable pedigrees and not even researching the crosses beforehand??

are the dogs proven in any way?

Like I said...the male was given to me by a friend and I know about most of the female's ped...never owned the breed before and thats y I'm here. I love my male...he is very aggressive and does not like new ppl. He is a good fit for me because of where I have moved to. He is pretty much my home security. Pits don't make good guard dogs..seldomly bark and not prone to bite ppl.

Well a bandog is a dog mixed for purpose, but if you want to know energy levels id look into zulu mastiffs more, they don't seem to have big recognition among the bandog world....id love to see pictures

Define aggressive, because a mastiff with a proper temperament will be able to determine a bad situation for a normal one. If you got a dog that goes after people for no reason it is unstable and should NOT be bred.
