Bandogges?

What is your opinion of Bandogges?
I'm thinking of getting an APBT x Presa mix pup for hog hunting
Parents:
Female APBT
Male APBT x Presa

Make sure you get a dog from a breeder that has proven working lines and have a track record of producing healthy, stable, drivey pups and not just some ad on craigslist selling bandogges whose never worked them and just mixing breeds just because they can.

I second TWW X2. Get a dogo.

Why a bandogge, and why that specific mix for hog hunting? Is there a pair already being bred?

Maybe fixitlouie will come by with his 2 cents on hog hunting.

My pup is this exact mix. I can't phrase it enough. Such a good dog.

He didn't really gain the mastiff size as he will be 10 months on the 14th of oct. And he's roughly 70-75lbs.

But his head and body have the shape. He's tall and lean and I'm still hoping he will "fill out" more.

Dad was a 130-140lb presa.
Mom a 65lb APBT.

Good looking dog. Not shure what the reason you want a hog dog out of him. Maby a lead in catch dog only. Pits and pressas not known for tracking ability. Or endurance. Be a better guard dog. Nevertheless its a dam good looking dog

Sorry misread post...ski. good looking the best catch dog was owned by mr.mason. was a Catdo. Catahoula dogo. Was about 65 lbs. A large catch dog could rip apart a hog. Dogos are known to be verry calm and just act like a anchor.

Oh don't get me wrong my boy is no hunting dog by any means. He's just a spoiled pup I picked up from friends of the family back in march.

But as far as temperament and disposition, he's a excellent dog.

I had him in classes at 10 weeks. He's highly intelligent, and was a very fast learner.

We been in classes since he graduated his puppy obedience course. In the intermediate ones we go to once a week or at the minimum every two weeks.(if I get caught at work)

Super high drive and willingness to work(train/play) on him.

From what I have read and seen a lot of as far as these hog dogs, bully's are a very popular choice. I wouldn't see why a presa mix would change anything in them. If anything I would think the "guardian" in the mix would just add another desirable trait. A willingness to keep you safe during a hunt and the drive to do it.

But like I said I know nothing about any of that.

All I can speak on is my spoiled people pup who is actually very good with my 10lb shorkie and kids and everyone he meets.

I have a Cane Corso Amstaff mix. He's the best dog I've ever had. Fears nothing doesn't seem to feel pain, protective and snuggly. 125lbs.

Do you have pictures of your pup? I would love to see that mix. My boy is a mix and I was told his mom was Amstaff, but we are not sure on the dad's breed, though it's suspected that he's a mastiff-type.
