I'm sorry...puppies with a loving dog mom is the most heartwarming sight. But, maybe the next time will take, especially if you take her to his turf where she wouldn't be as resistant to his attentions. But, if it doesn't work out, you still have Bella and all the love she gives to you.
I know how crushing it can feel...we considered every heat about allowing Bailey to have a family, but, fate interjected and produced a tumor-like growth under one of her nipples and it was the end of speculation. She had to be spayed to protect her from the surging hormones that would have accelerated any possible cancer. She would have made a great mom, but, it wasn't to be. And, since her life arose out of a BYB, it would have been not in the breed's best interest to produce more BYB Mastiffs. We had no medical information on the sire, and only modest information on the mother. Both were papered, but, that doesn't mean good genetics or good offspring for us.
So...I was a puppy-less Grand Ma, but my daughter's pups filled my Grand Ma heart and I am content.
Of course....If Finn and Bella do produce 10-12-15 puppies!!!, we will want copious, round-the-clock pictures and updates on the squirming pile of puppy love! And, since you are within driving distance of me! I will be visiting and snuggling and hugging and loving the entire brood! And if you didn't know we were all puppy mad here at the Forum, now you know.
When D.MikeM's two dogs had their puppies WE (all the Forum Members) went WILD! It was the first thing I did every morning, log on and soak in the puppy power, and every night the same thing...get home and Bang, logging on and reveling in the cuteness overload. Ahh....Puppies.... The puppy days are the sweetest days of all!
