LOL. Sure, I would give up the weight loss for a chance to sit down for more than 12 seconds at a time. Oh my! How old is the pup you are sitting? I hope you are getting paid well. :)
Want to send him over Kris. I will be in trim shape before the month is over. :) I have been dog sitting a springer spaniel for my friend that has not been trained at all. It is like he is deaf, blind and dumb. Will not be dog sitting again!

He is 6 months old. So a lot of the problems can be fixed but he has been allowed to become the leader in the house. He bites kids, takes food from tables, counters, people's mouth as they are eating (yeah, I was not impressed with that one), barks if you are a foot from him, won't go in his crate, chases the cats, attacks other dogs, humps people and animals non-stop and the list goes on and on. Oh, the darn thing actually raced past me to go up the stairs, got to the top, turned around and launched his full body into me. If I hadn't been prepared, he would have knocked me down the stairs. He just needs to know his place, once he does, he will be fine. And no, I don't think I got paid that well. He went home this morning, she offered me more money and I said, no. She could send me to Barbados if she was feeling that bad. LOL

I have figured out the perfect diet plan! I am not one to pay too muh attention to my weight and, although, I feel like I need to lose 10 - 20 pounds, I don't make any efffort HOWEVER....I have an answer to all of your weight loss needs....Ready? A deaf, incredibly busy puppy! Yep, I have to get up and go after him literally every few seconds (None of that cool "No" from afar stuff will work LOL)except for the rare short nap that he takes and I realized this morning when I weighed myself (inspired by this thread) that I have lost 11 pounds since I brought Magnum home!! I haven't changed my eating habits which are horrible (This morning I had a half a large bag of BBQ Fritos for Breakfast with a 20 oz Sunkist) and I am losing weight...Maybe because I am eating my Fritos on the run to try to save the books, bookshelf, ottoman, my sock, the kitchen table, everything on the counter and other misc. items from a havoc wreaking deaf Great Dane puppy? :)

Haha Mine is blue  My latest form of exercise is the damn goats, there's 5 in total and two of them like to jump fences. So I'm constantly wrangling them.

Kris I am jealous it was my not caring what I ate attitude that got me to 155 & 170 last year. I sometimes use the scare tactic...meaning I am ____ lbs away from 200. Do you want to weigh 200 lbs?! Hell no!! I may only be 25-30 lbs over weight right now but there are times when I FEEL like I weigh 200. :(

I have been reading & reading & watching YouTube videos on HCG. Also been chatting with DD & over working google. I know it does sound too good to be true but with any diet really you have to have the mental capability to teach yourself portion control. I think that is the biggest part of HCG is learning how to eat the proper sized portions. There are even videos on YouTube from the Dr. Oz show talking about the HCG diet. As I've told DD, I really would like to try it, even if it's just one phase of it to see if I can hang & I've got the links to where I am order supplies for cheap. Only thing I can recommend is that you thoroughly research where you are ordering the stuff from. Some sites are not legit. I know one thing is for sure. If I could shrink 30 lbs on this stuff (not saying I will) I would be 10 times more likely to maintain the loss being at a smaller size. The motivation I have when I physically SEE results is much higher than when I don't. I don't handle the downs of dieting & exercise very well. I lose my focus & that's when the binge eating & depression sinks back in.

You really are my long lost twin. I saw 170 on the scale and couldn't believe it never in my life. I'd always been 150lbs no matter how much I ate. Then I got a more sedentary job in IT and the rest is pretty much history. I've lost 10lbs of that so far. Trying to get back into the 130s. I hope doing the HCG with jump start my motivation to continue back into my heavy weightlifting years. If I can get a new job I will most likely start back up at the gym. I"m already starting to love veggies now and never realized how much I could cook on HCG.

Being how sour things went this year I'm going to try and shape things for the better, starting with my attitude and myself.

I just checked my weight today. I have lost 14 pounds this month simply by eating better and drinking lots of water. Going to add exercise into the equation and hopefully more weight will be shed.

Northern I missed this obviously haha! Just wanted to say congrats on your success :)

Yep! That's exactly what I've been thinking too. My lowest weight at the beginning of last summer was 142 & my thighs were toner, I was smaller thats for sure but still had weight to lose. I'm thinking if I can swing it I'm going to try to order the stuff next week. Otherwise I may have to wait until sept 13. I still have a LOT of reading to do on that forum. I guess now I know how it feels for a new comer here. Information overload! Lol!

I used to do that and then one day I woke up and realized I was at 226 pounds and I was like WTF??? I'm way under that now, but I still have my fat days where I feel as big as I once was. I guess it takes the brain awhile to catch up with the body. ;)

One thing that worked for me (although I didn't do it on purpose) was looking at a picture of myself at that weight. I went on a cruise last September with my daughters and was almost at 230. I had no idea how bad it was at the time but now, every time I want to eat something "bad", I look at that picture and realize it takes a lot longer to lose weight than it does to gain it. :)

I hear if you watch yourself eat in the mirror while naked it helps the desire to eat bad stuff. Lmao I haven't tried it though

That's some great motivation FM, I just look at pictures of yellow ugly fat whenever I'd get a pizza craving LOL!

What can I do to ensure my smoothies don't end up frothy? :( I'm making blueberry smoothie with milk. Every time I make them in the food processor I get a airy frothy smoothy.

Ok, I've been calorie counting & walking 5 miles a day, 5-6 times a week & I have lost 9 lbs. I'm 6 lbs away from where I was back in July & 10 lbs away from the weight I was last May. This is the only diet I can afford right this second, but I'm still interested in trying HCG. Calorie counting & walking got me down 28 lbs last year but it was a slow process unfortunately.

DD, try adding less liquid next time. It might help. :)

I think I might need to take things slow hahaha! It was still a flop, I'm going to invest in a blender and hopefully I can get it. I don't feel too bad though I tried making homemade yogurt the other day and it was still milk and curds. So I just brought plain yogurt. Baby steps...

Raechie congrats! On your loss, that's great news. :) Keep up the good work!

I haven't done anything special besides just cook at home from scratch. I found that all those cravings I had are pretty much gone. As for my exercise I'm doing Zumba for the days I have a bit more extra calories.

Blenders are good tools for smoothies & shakes. My favorite is using a vanilla flavored protein powder, 1/2 a banana, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter & then it's either water or soymilk (I can't remember!) & it is SO good. :)

The 5 miles are tough as last year I was only doing 4 miles a day. I often feel the quitter in me at the end of the 4th mile but I have to push myself to go the rest of the way. Unfortunately I won't be walking today as the high for today is 104 & if I were to go, it would have to be at night & my walking buddy is busy tonight so I don't want to go by myself. I'll probably end up going tomorrow for my 5th day this week & then be done until Monday.

Hmm that sounds good :D, I might give it another try with the food processor since my bananas are "going bad."

Ugh, that's why I can't wait for fall and winter oddly enough I feel so much more motivated to do things. I get in the tiring mindset too and then I think it will be worth it right? Lol
