We are heading to the butcher tomorrow to pick up our first bucket of throw away items from the mornings butchering!! Trachea, gullets, green tripe, spleen, pancreas and I think that is all I requested at this time. Is there more I am missing? And we will be cleaning and grinding everything tomorrow as it's supposed to be extremely nice(for us). Would you grind the tracheas and gullets right into the mix? How much green tripe can make up the meat portion? My dogs have never been affected by it so no worries about the runs. I think I am being charged $10 total for everything that fits in the 30 gallon tote I dropped off. It may be 40 gallons, not sure. They have also offered more if I want to drive 45 min to another butcher shop. Needless to say, I am super excited! Well, except for the cleaning of the tripe any tips would be awesome. Thanks
