We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Green tripe

So has the house aired out yet? Gotta love that tripe "aroma". Great score! Might also check with your local mobile butchers (those that go to the farm or rancher.) They are my favorite and free source for heart, tripe and other goodies. I do have to drive sometimes to get it. One of my favorites lives just a couple miles and he will bring home for me in a trash bag.

We definitely smelled it all night at my sister's new year get together;) lol
We are running into one HUGE issue with getting the tripe. What to do with the rest of the intestinal tract. We stopped at a small pull off and cut the stomach out and rinsed in the small stream(lots of rain) this last time. For a 1X deal, fine. But what can we do in the future? Where can we do this? We live in town so not in the yard of our rented home. This is the only thing making us hesitate for the next time:( how does your butcher friend dispose of these useless innards? I hope someone can guide us as we are anxious to do it again before hubs leaves for business trip.

I'm lucky to live on a rural acreage so rinsing isn't an issue. A hose out by my fruit orchard works great. As far as the rest of the digestive tract goes if I get it I just double bag for the trash. We have too many coyotes to dispose of it any other way. Most of the guys I deal with are great about just bringing me what I use.
