  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

I am speechless. ( Extremely graphic, very upsetting )

That made me irrationally angry. Everything form them apprehending a bystander who was not a threat to them shooting a dog that could have been saftly put away.

Dumb owner. Overzealous cops. What looks like a well behaved dog pays the price. Poor pup.

I literally lost my breakfast!!why did the cops have an issue with him videotaping them and not the others?! I hope he pays the price for this uncalled for killing!!

They had an issue because he was yelling things at them and the other videotapers weren't. However, I didn't see anything in that video which would justify them arresting him. As far as I know you're allowed to video tape and question the cops without getting arrested.

I do agree he put his pup in a bad situation. I still don't see any reason for them to arrest him, but the cop that shot the pup wasn't even one of the two cops that arrested him. He came over to assist when the dog jumped out. The third cop tried twice to get the dog's leash and both times the dog lunged at him. Second time, the cop felt threatened enough to shoot. Very sad, but I actually don't blame the cop that shot.

While this is all together horrible and the guy was being an idiot and the cops were being dumbasses, I just wanted to comment on what a good dog that was! Jumping out the car window to defend his owner, what a good boy! That being said, this situation was created by the guy being a fool and escalated by the cops having no training in handling dogs, something I think should be required by any officer of the law. And as usual...it's the dog that suffers for human stupidity. :(

I agree with Kujo completely, stupid owner.

HOWEVER, how you reach for a dogs leash who doesn't know you, once... then twice and then shoot it? They have the ablitiy to call AC.

I cannot blame the police for dispatching the dog given the circumstances. As the police were dealing with 2 armed robbers held up in a house this dog owner is walking his dog around the scene yelling at police. When it is apparent they are about to apprehend him he places his dog in the car with the Windows down.

-Yes the dog did what a protective dog should do but the police reacted accordingly. Could they have handled the dog differently? Yes but they are to protect the people first. The man was being arrested, were the police suppose to lock themselves in their cars until animal control got there? Or back the aggressive-protective dog off only to have the dog possibly injure a civilian?

It is sad the dog had to be put down but the indecent could have ended worse.
Just my sad 2 cents

They could have tased the dog. Or let the man roll up his windows. Stupid man he has to know he is the reason his dog is gone. I mean way to egg on the police then not secure your dog. Such a shame.

The dog was turned laterally to the officers at the point he/she was close, once the (3rd) officer reaches for the leash the dog reacts. I understand they are to protect people and them self.. but don't down for a dogs leash and expect it not to react.

The dog didn't just run and jump to attack which it had time to do. I'm not sure where you saw anyone say the police were to lock themselves in a car.. you call AC and let them handle the dog that's what they do.

They saw the dog walking around calm it wasn't out to attack innocent "civilians". I have no issue with a cop shooting a dog that attacks them. Re-watch the video..

Notice on the opposite side of the officers gun holster was a tazer, was that not a option?

Ultimately the dog died because the owner was a idiot. There have been many cases here (locally) where the cops enter a residence and shoots a dog on their own property, a recent case the dog was in his own house.. 15 feet from the officer. I know cops don't wake up and say "I'm going to shoot someone's dog today", they go thru all kind of crazy situations for less money than what's deserved but I still expect them to make good decisions.

I'm looking at this from the eyes of someone who likes my dog better than most people, so I'm bias ;)

I refuse to watch this.
I feel bad enough knowing that some dumb shit got his dog killed for trying to provoke the police. He had a warrant and was known to provoke the police on previous occasions. He did not properly put the dog away better yet don't bring your dog with you if you are going to cause a scene with the cops. Yes the cops should have handled this better like uncuff the owner and allow him to secure the dog or call someone to come pick it up. Or taze/mace the dog, reaching for the dogs leash was also a dumbshit move by the officer. They could have backed away and called AC too. But since the man willingly went to the cops after putting the dog in the car it was obvious he was not a threat. Let him secure the dog then arrest him. This is just a sad event and all parties except the dog are at fault.
