Wood cost would vary.
Brazilian cherry runs $8-9 per board foot around here.
White oak might be about the same. It's also a good outdoor wood.
Teak runs at $25-ish per board foot.
I'm not sure about Redwood. Seems like it would be reasonable here.
Cedar is cheaper and I can get it at Lowe's.
If I have to finish them, I'd charge an extra $25.(for both)
The outdoor finish I use runs about $80 per gallon, so it's a decent finish. You might want to just finish them yourself because it's something that needs to be done every couple of years anyway. Nothing lasts forever outside.
Oh, I don't really know if shipping to Canada is a million dollars. If so, you might want to stick with the lighter woods, like Cedar and Redwood. The others are very heavy.
You could also look for local woodworkers. There are woodworking forums you could check out and try and find someone closer.
