male Mastiff puppy growth?

He's just a quick growing lad! Gummy is 16 months and just hit 140lbs (to be honest, I'm surprised he's this big already given how slow he's been taking). And I found out that we're relocating to Portland in two months, so another English coming to the Oregon area.

Gummy, I like the name, and I think you'll like Oregon too. This morning I measured my pup and he's getting some height. He is nearly 28 inches at the shoulder. This coming Tuesday I am taking him in to get weighed, which he will be a day shy of 6 months.

My daughter and I took him to our vet for a weigh in this morning 2 days shy of 6 months old....108 lbs. I love that my vet is right down the street from our home, but I think my pup wished the truck ride was a bit longer. Thats a 17.3 lb weight gain in one month, and he is nice and lean.

He is eating 3.5 cups twice a day, but looks like I'll be needing to up it to 4 pretty soon.

So handsome! He may even stop growing earlier. One of the mastiff's we know here in the area grew so fast and then by 16 months was done. Now he's the same size and Gummy Bear I love Oregon. I'm very much looking forward to this move. Thankfully Gummy has got over his fear of the rain.

My guy seemed to slow down a little at 130 ish pounds...and at 10 months...now he's starting to fill out. I'd estimate Venti at 150+ lbs now...It is amazing how fast they grow...literally day to day growth.

I'm Curious.. My English Mastiff Pup is at the 23 week mark. Hes currently 110 lbs... each month he seemed to put on 20 lbs. Will this continue up until the year mark and slow down or will it go all the way to the 2 year point?

I really don't know. I do know they grow pretty fast in the first year getting their height; I have my boy weighed at our vet each month and keep a spread sheet. As of two days ago our boy @ 8 months weighed in at 143 lbs!

We have a male 3 years old this past January 2013 and weighs 170lbs. We just got a female she is will be 3 months old on the 17th of August and weighs 34 lbs. she has gained 6 lbs in a week. Can't wait to see how big she gets. Will be breeding next year will post pics of them soon.

General good health is if you can't see their ribs but you can feel them. Then they're an okay weight.
