Welcome, and adorable pup! My pup, 4 1/2 months moves that way too! And, she's a black brindle, so at night when we're outside and I have a hard time seeing her, I just hear this "kind of silent rushing sound" and there she is :)

yea, it's really kind of cool to watch him move, and the more I watch him the more he reminds me of the way a big cat moves, but just not so stealthy, more like a big cat on a freight train...lol

Thank you everyone for all the compliments and the warm welcome, I'm honored to be a new member of the CC club and look forward to posting many picks and stories as he matures.

So far, and we've only had him about 10 days now but we are very happy with him, he is integrating into our family well and seems to be a very quick learner, he's taken to his routine pretty well and his house training is coming along well, at least most of the time.

His appetite also seems to be pretty good, and in fact he seems to grow overnight! It's like we wake up each morning to a new version of him, I've never had a dog that changed so quickly! Looking at him now he already looks different then the pictures I posted here which are only like 2-3 days old.

Also @Cody, he is from a litter at Liliani's Cane Corso, his mom is Liliani's Vita Bella, she was very well tempered and a beautiful blue brindle I thought, and his father (sire?) is Scandifio's Armani, who I didn't meet because apparently he has long since passed away, but from what I've read online had a very good pedigree and I think Midas' temperment and progress thus far confirms that.

One of my favourite things about him so far, aside from his great little personality is to watch him move, he moves with such a sense of purpose, I don't know how to describe it really, it reminds of how a big cat moves, like a tiger or something, even though he is still very small..lol, but it seems in his own mind he takes himself very seriously indeed!
So a fellow Canadian as well :) Congrats again. I understand the movement. A GSD woman at agility class said that about my CC boy, that watching him move was like watching a Big cat, panther like. Was a huge compliment for me :D Can't wait to watch him grow up here.

Thank you,it's good to see the CC club growing in Canada :), Interestingly enough my previous dog, actually my previous three dogs where all GSDs and they do move very impressively as well, not quite like a Cane Corso though as I'm learning, and so far I am glad that we got a CC instead of a GSD this time around.

Thank you, his color was absolutely one of the things that appealed to us as well, now that I've had some time to look into it and talk the breeder the proper name for his color is "Formentino" And the other thing that's been a recent development is that when we first got him his mask was like dark brown or black, over the last week or so it seems to start to look kind of blue, similar to the coloring on a blue brindle CC which actually looks pretty cool.
