many mastiffs in general are not prey driven dogs so throwing a stick, a ball or anything that moves fast may not peak his interest at all. there are excercises that you can do to help develop prey drive but you may enjoy a laid back dog, i love them myself, lol...getting to old for all the constant playing around.
