Oh, the STENCH! Neo Breath...

I know, from what I've read, that excessive drool and odor can be a problem with Neos, but how much is too much? I am considering taking Olive back to the vet to have her mouth checked out. She is more along the lines of the "working" Neo, so she doesn't have extremely heavy jowls, but DAMN! Her kisses will knock you out! Her teeth get brushed and they're fine, the vet said she's in excellent shape, but at the time I just thought the odor was normal. Now, I'm concerned a bit. It smells almost like really bad mildew. Is really bad odor "normal"?

I don't have a neo but I do have droolers in my house and although it does smell a little it doesn't smell like mildew. Have you checked her jowls and any wrinkles around her face for infection or yeast?

I have looked at her mouth and jowls...I don't see anything out of the ordinary. No funk, nothing other than healthy looking gum tissue. She isn't too wrinkly and I don't see anything icky, her face doesn't smell, it's just when she gets the drool on me. It's usually in my face when she's trying to lick me. I know that some types of infections aren't so obvious. I didn't really think about yeast and it isn't a "yeasty" smell but I think I'm going to make an appt just to be sure. Thanks for the reply, I wasn't sure what the smell was supposed to be like. It's definitely not typical dog breath.

Sorry. Forgot to say, I have a Neo, and while the drool can get a little smelly, it's never that bad.
