#1 "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing" Meaning: A small amount of knowledge can mislead people into thinking, they are an expert, when in fact they are not, but often emotionally biased and not intellectually honest.
#2 Its a known, known, and historical fact that not all the Fila's Borghetto's Kennel were black or mixed (mongrels). To further drive this point, Borghetto had Fila's that would have passed an analysis for phenotype for CAFIB. The beginnings of CAFIB were in many ways because of this very issue, how to know a dog that looked like an original Fila had been mixed with other breeds. Its the same problem today except worse, because of Fila puppy mills such as yourself. Its "very dishonest" when a breeder promotes pure bred Filas from ancient lines. When in fact they are mixed mongrels. CAFIB has the highest strictest standards for analysis. And because the phenotype standards and temp standards are so high. A lot of dogs get rejected. That is the exact reason why, non CAFIB Fila breeders which make up the bulk of Filas being sold like LionsDen, Granada, MountainFila etc. Troll these forums and make disparaging comments about CAFIB. So they can get the sale $$. So in other words,Its all about the maximizing puppy profits $$ and not at all about preservation of the Fila. Why...Because preservation is a tedious task, that is expensive $$ and time consuming. Time is money, so these profiteer's (breeder's) invented there own standard, for the only purpose, but to line there own pockets w/ $$, with the least amount of time & $$ invested. Its a smart move if your a huckster, but its not noble, nor is it right if your sincere about perpetuation of the pure-bred Fila..
#3 These puppies I have, would qualify for CAFIB phenotype. That is why I put CAFIB "type". It will be up to the owner to get them evaluated by a CAFIB judge. And there is CAFIB showing on the east coast in late fall.
