Whole eggs

I see. Also, can you give raw eggs to kibble fed dogs? And should I fed her the shell as well? She is a puppy and I don't want it to add too much calcium.

I'd avoid the shell, for a kibble fed pup, but yes you can give raw eggs to kibble fed dogs. Its one of the exceptions!

For a growing pup, who's getting a good quality kibble with an appropriate calcium ratio, I'd not want to mess it up. Though I suppose one a week or the like wouldn't screw it up to much. For a raw fed pup you just reduce the bone a bit when you've fed egg shell.

I drop an egg in the bowls about once a month. Jade eats some of the shell, Dozer (10 year old RottenChow) no shell, Duncan (11 year old RottenChow) a little shell. Even thought the shell wont digest the calcium can still be absorbed by the dogs digestive system. Be careful on a growing pup with kibble or other calcium supplements.
When I make my dog food I scramble 6 to 8 eggs in with 4 lbs of hamburger and about 3 cups of rice, I grind the shells up in a coffee grinder until fine and add that back into the mix.
