Why do people exaggerate about their dogs?

lol the issues is people feel better about making up things about there dogs cause they live for the attention/expression/response of others when in reality they usually have confidences issues themselves r at least thats some of the problems anyway lol

I had a guy have his Rottie come up to Conan and I in the pet store. He asked me what breed and what his head size, neck size, chest size and weight.. So I told him what I knew since I dont measure head, neck, and chest lol .. so I give weight ... he tells me his Rottie is 150 lbs 28 inch, 26 inch neck, dont remember chest and the dame dog was no bigger if smaller then Conan .. I just laughed and walked away ....

it is crazy one time a friend of mines said he had a dobe that was taller n heavier that a rottie i said really i ask what was the dobe height n weight he said 29" n 160 lol than i ask for a pic n i just laughed when i saw the dog he didnt lie about the dog size but he did lie about what type of dog it was lol i think it was a dane/dobe mix kinda fat, so he said he kinda beats the size of your dane huh n he smiles than i just smiled back n said yes oh by the way she only 10mons and how old is your male again oh ya you said 6yrs old rite, than he stopped smiling n i just walked way with a bigger smile lol( think princess was slow growth than but i think she was around 25-27in n i dont remeber her weight but she has always been chunky lol)

I think I hear it with rottie owners the most. It seems like every other person with a Rottie has one thats 150+ and always solid muscle. that and there seems to be a growing amount of 150lb pitbulls out there as well. Must be something in the water.

I can just see it now. Big muscled up guy meets me and Mufasa while out on a walk. Asks how big he is and I tell him hes a 150 lbs at ten months, he then proceeds to tell me about his viscious killer dog, has to be pushing 200 lbs by now, solid muscle, tough as nails, names SATIN. People are always surprised when I tell them how much Apollo weighs. They always assume 150+ and are shocked when I tell them that I don't even expect him to reach that when full grown. Part of its the fluff when makes him look bulky, but part of it is people just can't judge weight.

He always argues that a pit bull has 2000 psi bite pressure .

I have not had the heart to burst his bubble about them not having that strong of a bite, but that also they are not even close to having the strongest bite in the canine world.

I watched a program on discovery of these guys measuring dogs lions alligators sharks hippos wolves snakes,.

A dog with a wide jaw , mouth or bite can produce more pressure than a dog with a narrow one.

I think a dog named a Kengal had the most at about 700, a lion was at about 750, a great white shark was the champion with 2000.

The one that surprised me the most was a giant snapping turtle, it only had about 150, but with its jaws being like scissors, it can easily take your fingers off.

There's two GD's here that are 39inches they are full euro tho, not American GDs.

Zues is the largest right now @ 44 so 39 ain't impossible by any means but they aren't the "standard" per say.

Really? I'd take a yard stick to that. Usually its the opposite....I've heard rumors nothing confirmed though.

I don't know exactly how tall Thor was but I'm estimating around 35" or 36" There was a Harl Titan (World Record Journey ) that was claimed to be the tallest before Zues took the title.
