10 adults and 8 twelve week old pups are in need of homes. They are currently located in Southern Cali but I believe the rescue will transport. They're not currently listed on their site, but fill out an aplication if you're interested.

Hey Ruth, do you know what the back story is because this is crazy. Wish I had room for one

I don't unfortunetly. I do know, from talking with the lady who's handling rescue TMs in Ontario Canada, that there's been an ongoing issue with (what are essentially) puppy millers bringing over TMs from China cause they think they can make money off of them. I'm guessing this is some of that. I don't know if the rescue doesn't have more info or if they're just not giving it. They regularly refuse to name the breeders that the dogs who end up in the rescue originally came from (their reasons kinda make sense, kinda come accross as petty, take your pick), so I don't really expect them to give a ton of info.

URGENT: We have a situation in Southern California. 10 adult TMs (all imported from China) and a litter of 8, 12 week old puppies need Rescue. We are full. If you would like to adopt or foster a puppy, we'll process them first (shots, alter, microchip) once we've got places to send them. Please message us, fill out an application and we'll do our best to match the right personality to you..

Is the Facebook post they put out.

To top it off they've got another 11 dogs already in the rescue needing homes.....

Ugh, I wish I was not all the way across the country from them. I absolutely love the Tibetan Mastiffs. Those fluffy little bear puppies make my heart ache. I hope they find loving families.

I believe the rescue is willing, at least in general, to transport. If thats all thats stopping you its worth filling out an aplication.

Oh, if you do fill out an app check their facebook page for additional instructions, they've been having trouble with the system so they're asking people to email it too.

Man... I am soooo tempted. But I'm a breeder. Rescues will never place dogs with breeders (even if they don't breed the breed in rescue).

I have no say in their policies, but they're looking for both foster and permenant homes because they're honest enough to know that you can't just drop a TM into the nearest dog loving home.

Well, I filled out the form, so we will see. I'd be happy to help foster a pup or an adult. Or give them a forever home.

If you don't get a response in a couple days theres instructions on their facebook page for emailing it too, I guess the application system's been loosing apps the last couple days.

Hubby's right, though our property is large enough, the house isn't. We could probly do short term foster of a couple months, but they prefer long term foster homes only (I asked), so that the dogs aren't bounced between lots of homes.

Ruth, you'd have to invest in another coffee table! They are very good looking dogs. I hope they find great homes

Application sent. I was an idiot and sent it on my ipad so I hope their form server is up and they received it. I am going to fill it out again and email it to them. I will update the thread with how the process goes. With us being so far away, I am not sure if they will work with us or not, but I am certainly hoping so.

I'm not sure they can afford not to, though theres certinally going to be more interest in the pups. I did double check the info on Facebook and it says they ARE willing to transport these dogs.

I am sure we could pay for transport if that was what was holding it back. I will put that in my email.
