I have seen the choke ones too, but can not find ones anywhere. We have a gold snake chain that is like the choker, but she is confusing it with the work my daughter is doing for confirmation. :(

These are the nicest collars Ive ever seen and really wanted to spend the money for my big guy, however Ive tried multiple times to contact the guy and only got one unhelpful response, I felt like he wasnt keen on shipping to the US, so I have no idea how much they cost but Im guessing A LOT.

The site says he does ship overseas. Western union though to process payment, LOL. This guy is old school.

Okay so I have a question for everyone. I have been looking for a martingale show collar for our female ddb and I cannot find anything big enough for her neck. Any ideas? I did find a lady that custom makes leather ones, but a little scared she might break it. My daughter is using her for 4H and her snake choker, that we were using for her show training, and her choker for obedience she is getting confused on. Any ideas would be great!!!!

I just made Jade a 24 inch collar and Baptiste Boerboel on FaceBook makes custom collars, including Martingale. http://www.facebook.com/baptisteboerboels.
Here is Jade's new collar.

Okay how old is jade? I just measured fawn to get a custom made one done and her head from her jowls to the top if her head (around the ears) is 25" and her neck is 26".

And thanks for the link. I will look into that

Jade is an 11 month old Boerboel. Your dog would need a 26.5 inch Martingale or Halfcheck collar. 61 feet of paracord with one of my collars.

If its braided, good quality leather, it shouldn't break. Apollo's show lead and collar (choke style) are braided kangaroo leather and have shown no signs of any streatching, much less breaking. I wanted a martingale too, but they just don't come in those sizes.

What is the difference between halfcheck and a martingale?

One is another term for the other.

Thanks just wanted to make sure I was thinking correctly here lol. I actually found a lady that custom makes martigales that are kangaroo leather. So I think I'm ordering one from her and I'll let everyone know.

I have a collar obsession too! I'm super picky though, so I make most of mine. Here's the latest one I made for Brinkley. It is so fitting for her personality

Has anyone seen any leather collars that have the dog's name stamped or burned into the leather? Not anything cheap looking but I haven't really been able to find anything that looks sturdy & looks nice.
