Never tried Orijen but earthborn has always worked well for my boy. Im sure someone will come and tell you which formulas are acceptable for a mastiff. IMO only, if it aint broke...

Orijen is the best kibble on the market.
There are many Presa breeders that use it.
If I was a kibble feeder I would feed it myself .. Best of luck with getting a great kibble for your dogs

Orijen is a great food but it can be too rich for some dogs. I learned this the hard way with a husky pup foster. The 6 Fish smelled the same way going out as it did going in. Every dog is different. You definitely want to make sure to do a super slow transition though.

Yes it's a great food but also too rich my7 month old EM. If you try it I would do a slow introduction to it to reduce the chance of diarrhea. Good luck.

I used Orijen when I first brought home my pup as it is one of the best on the market, but it was too rich for him, he never had a solid poop on it and he had hot spots on his skin and was losing fur.

We feed Orijens and as a great kibble as it is, the farts that came out of my pup could strip paint. Phew! It is pretty expensive though. We feed Arcana afterwards to see if that would help out and made my pup break out in hives.

I feed my boy Orijen 6 Fish and he LOVES it! He eats about 4 cups a day. Some days more, some days less.

I would definitely recommend this food to anyone...but like others have said it can be too rich. I'd say if you want to try it go for it, just be sure to transition slowly.

I'm actually happy with earthborn I was just wondering if Orijen had magical powers and if it was that much better than earthborn, as the employee stated

I've been feeding Lincoln Orijen Six Fish from the beginning (he's 8 months now) and he loves it, but I'm planning to switch to Earthborn here within a month or so. It took a really long time for him to adjust to it and for his poos to firm up. They still aren't what I'd call super solid, but they're pretty good.

The main reason I'm switching is price. A bag or Orijen costs $80 or more and I can get the Earthborn Coastal Catch for more around $50 to $55. That's a huge difference considering they're both 5 Star foods. I just bought my 12th bag of Six Fish, so now I get one free. After that, I'm planning to switch him. I'm glad he's been on what most consider one of the best, or the best kibbles, on the market during his first 8-9 months as I'm sure it helped him grow the best any kibble could, but now that he's a little older I feel fine switching him. I'm hoping the decreased protein and increased fiber in Earthborn will help firm up his poos more too.

I feed Earthborn as well, I never tried Orijen, but I did try Acana and her poop was never firm. On Earthborn I never have a problem with her poop. I feed her Meadow Feast or Costal Catch.

My boy has nice poo on Orijen...but different foods work differently on each dog. It has been the only food that has finally helped him fill out and gain a few pounds.

He wasn't what I would call skinny, but he was very lean and I just wanted him to gain a few more lbs. I can still easily feel his ribs, but he's got a little bit of "meat" over them now and just looks better over all.
