  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

He is home!

What a sweet little munchkin! He seems to have a good amount of confidence, too.

Not sure if you know the answer to this, but do you think that Ruger will figure out that Magnum is deaf? Just curious...

Congrats- and you will have to post pics weekly or so, 'cause we all know how fast these boys grow!

He already looks totally comfortable and at home! Wait until Ruger figures out he isn't just a "guest", could get interesting! He is adorable and Ruger looks like he is going to be a great big brother, enjoy!

Thanks! I can't wait to watch him become the dog he is going to be......and for him to start sleeping through the night. LMAO

He is incredibly confident. He is a bit intimidated when Ruger runs by at high speed but most people are, too. LOL Funny you ask, I think Ruger already knows that something is "different" with this little guy. Oh, I will post way too many as usual.

He really did just come in and own the place. He runs freely about without whining looking for someone or getting scared like most puppies do. I think Ruger is going to be great with him once Magnum is a little less delicate and gets over the excitement. I do believe that INTERESTING is going to our word for sometime. LOL

Congratulations! He is one good looking puppy!
Great pictures!

A thought jumped in my head when you said you have to trail after him and get his attention to tell him 'no'... would a vibrating collar work? Could you teach the 'vibration' (like a tap on the shoulder) as the trigger for "look at me" command... I would think that would come in handy at places...

What an exciting challenge! Can't wait to read all about it. And see all the pictures! :)

Thank You! :)I intend to try the vibrating collar when he gets a little older but he already looks at me A LOT. It is as if he knows I can't call him. I think that fine tuning this as he gets bigger is going to be pretty easy. If you reach over and touch him, he looks at you immediately but thankfully does not startle which I thought he might. This little guy has some serious confidence, for sure.

He's so cute & he looks well fed & healthy aside from the white/deaf issue.

Years back I dated a man who was deaf.
He had all kinds of neat stuff to alert him about things-vibrating alarm clock pillows, various flashing light contraptions, ring the doorbell lights flash etc...

Deaf people are so incredibly sensitive to vibration it's crazy, things you do not even think of--white noise-like a fridge running with that humm--or music, he loved music & so did all of his friends-they loved to feel the rhythm & danced very well.

So, with that being said--When he is not looking at you, you can use always light & vibration.

You can get all kinds of stuff--like a flashing light for night time potty breaks to get him to come back in...

Also, I've heard of those electric shock collars-apparently they have a vibrate only mode--(I'm NOT meaning shock here--just vibrate)--or maybe they make one somewhere that is vibrate only?

Either way, there's tons of options.

He is a lot of fun and I am a whole lot tired! Yeah, he is a little chunky butt right now but has those long skinny legs. LOL
Congrats! Looks like so much fun. He's got a big old pot belly on him right now!

Thank you! Yes, I have looked into all of the products they have for deaf pups and I am sure that we will end up with all of them. I don't think it is going to be difficult as I thought, now that I have him at home. I have already found a vibrating only collar that I intend to order for him when he gets settled and grows a bit.
