Just wanted to say hello to everyone. After losing my beloved 10 year old Newf about a year ago I was ready for a new "big boy" in the house, as a groomer for 25y I opted for less hair this time! Yesterday I brought home a male English Mastiff pup, [possibly a EM/Fila, mistake litter, female broke out and had access to two males, one EM one Fila, they know for sure the EM did but not sure if the Fila got her also] I named him Cayee. Looking forward to reading/getting advice here!

Here is my boy Cayee, know he should not have the white markings, in the litter of 12 he was the only one with it. What can I say could not resist.copies 571.jpg

He is only 6 weeks! They had the pups living outside with shelter but still...had planned to ask if he could stay for another week or two but glad I took him home, he was full of hook and round worms!

He was checked out, 11lbs, dewormed and had first vacc before we even went home, [my business is located in a veterinary hospital]. The "breeder" had said they were taking all of them to the vet tomorrow, Mon, so I did not call. copies 573.jpg

Both males were fawn. At what age would you start seeing if there is Fila? Would love the help! Maybe not the right thread to start asking questions but what is the difference in appearance in the EM and the Fila? Their Fila male was older and was their fav, he had by himself taken on the roll as "helper" for the wife who has Parkinson's bad. Have a few more questions but will post them in the right place, lol.
