Hello all! I just wanted to introduce myself and say I will be looking forward to hearing from other DDBs owners and sharing stories! I will get to pick my new baby up this Saturday and I've never been so anxious like a little kid all over again! Lol

I have researched this breed for many many years and finally decided to go ahead and get one. It's almost like the feeling of wanting to adopt a child for a long time and finally having the means to be able to care and provide for one! Lol

Only major question I have right now is either to feed him kibbles (if so what is the best brand) or a raw diet? If anyone can help with this area I will greatly appreciate it!

Hi and welcome!

Kibble is fine, but know that some DDBs develop allergies to corn/wheat/chicken. Many people choose raw for this reason. We feed a combination of grain free kibble and homemade dog food (deer meat & pureed veggies & rice).

Congrats on your new DDB, I bet you are excited. Can't wait to see photos.

Welcome! There are many threads about kibble but I'm happy to help if you have questions. Raw is great if you are able to do it but that does involve a bit of research too!

Welcome aboard~ Beautiful family! Kibble vs raw is a personal choice. If kibble, feed him a grain/chicken free kibble.

Congrats on getting the puppy soon! I have been feeling the same way with our corso/fila mix that we are picking up this weekend, I cant imagine what it is like to adopt an actual baby! lol

So happy for your soon-to-be new family member. :) Can't wait for photos...

BTW, I have fed my DDB raw since I brought him home @ 8.5 weeks- he's doing great, and I would recommend it- but do some research first...

Thanks! Yes, I've done tons of research and still researching to make sure I get all the info straight. This is definitely the route we want to go.

I'm so excited for you, every time I see a dogue posted, I get a bit more jealous! Get that puppy a dremel for his nails and get him used to it now! LOL :)
